Overview

Short version: Quit With Clips does not collect any personal information directly. We don't require an account, we don't phone home, and your habit data lives entirely on your device. The app uses Google AdMob for advertising, Firebase Analytics for anonymous usage analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting (Android only).

This app respects your privacy. We do not collect personal information directly. However, the app uses Google AdMob to display ads, Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used, and Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix crashes (Android only). These services may collect certain data automatically as part of their operation.

This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected (and by whom), how it is used, and what choices you have. By using Quit With Clips, you agree to the practices described here.

Information Collected

Google AdMob — The app uses Google AdMob, which may automatically collect the following data as part of delivering advertisements:

  • Advertising ID (a resettable, non-personal device identifier)
  • Approximate location (such as country or city — derived from IP address)
  • Device information (device type, operating system version, model)
  • App interaction data (such as ad views and ad clicks)

This data is collected automatically by the Google Mobile Ads SDK and is governed by Google's privacy policies. Quit With Clips itself does not receive or store any of this data.

Firebase Analytics — The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data to help us improve the app. Firebase Analytics may automatically collect:

  • App events (such as screen views and feature interactions)
  • Device information (device model, operating system version, language)
  • App version and session duration
  • A randomly generated instance ID (not linked to personal identity)
  • Approximate geographic region (country or city — derived from IP address)

All Firebase Analytics data is anonymised and aggregated. No personally identifiable information is collected or linked to usage data. This data is governed by Google's privacy policies.

Firebase Crashlytics (Android only) — The app uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to automatically detect and report crashes and errors, helping us identify and fix stability issues. Crashlytics may automatically collect:

  • Crash reports (stack traces and error logs)
  • Device information (device model, operating system version, memory and storage status)
  • App version and session identifiers
  • A randomly generated installation UUID (not linked to personal identity)
  • Crash context (app state at time of crash)

Crashlytics data is anonymised and used solely for debugging and improving app stability. No personally identifiable information is collected or included in crash reports. This data is governed by Google's privacy policies.

All habit-tracking data you enter (chain names, completion records, reminders) is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to any server.

How Data Is Used

Data collected by Google AdMob is used for the following purposes:

  • Displaying and delivering relevant advertisements
  • Measuring ad performance and reporting to advertisers
  • Analytics on ad engagement
  • Fraud prevention and security

Data collected by Firebase Analytics is used for the following purposes:

  • Understanding how users interact with the app (anonymous usage patterns)
  • Identifying feature usage and user flows
  • Guiding future app improvements and feature development
  • Measuring the reach and retention of the app

Firebase Analytics data is never used for advertising profiling, is not sold to third parties, and is not linked to any personally identifiable information.

Data collected by Firebase Crashlytics is used for the following purposes:

  • Detecting and diagnosing app crashes and errors
  • Identifying the root causes of stability issues
  • Prioritising bug fixes based on crash frequency and impact
  • Improving overall app reliability and user experience

Crashlytics data is used exclusively for debugging and stability improvements. It is not used for advertising, is not sold to third parties, and contains no personally identifiable information.

Data Sharing

Data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK may be shared with Google as part of delivering the AdMob advertising service. Anonymous, aggregated usage data collected by Firebase Analytics and crash reports collected by Firebase Crashlytics are shared with Google Firebase as part of those services. We do not sell, rent, or share any user data with other third parties.

The third-party services used by this app and their privacy policies are listed below:

Data Security

Any data transmitted from the app (such as ad requests) is encrypted in transit using industry-standard security protocols (HTTPS/TLS).

Your personal habit data is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. It is not transmitted, backed up to any cloud service, or accessible to Bisk Media or any third party.

User Choices

You can manage ad personalisation through your device settings:

  • Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Reset or opt out of Ads Personalisation

Ads will still be shown if you opt out of personalisation, but they may be less relevant to your interests. Opting out does not affect the core functionality of the app.

You can also purchase an ad-free upgrade from within the app via the Settings screen. This removes all ads entirely.

Children's Privacy

Quit With Clips is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal data via the app, please contact us using the details below so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the app, our practices, or legal requirements. Any material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
